New York-based law firm Gray Krauss LLP has promoted Andre Des Rochers to partner as several of the firm's attorneys attend Sundance as production counsel and counsel to 12 films in the festival.

Leading the firm's Sundance team are named partners Jonathan Gray and Evan Krauss. Gray, who founded the firm in 1998 and is attending Sundance for the 17th consecutive year. Krauss, who concentrates in film, music and television, joined forces with Gray in 2005 after departing the noted boutique music firm Roberts Ritholz Levy Sanders Chidekel & Fields LLP.

Des Rochers focuses on film, television, music and new media, representing producers, writers, directors, and production companies. He moved to Gray Krauss in 2005 from the multinational firm Shearman & Sterling LLP, where he worked in corporate transactional law. 'Andre has made an impressive transition from corporate law to building a substantial practice across the spectrum of the entertainment business,' Gray said.

Rounding out the team attending the festival are Ian Stratford and Nicole Compas. Stratford, the former CEO of the media investment advisory firm USA Film and Television, has been Of Counsel to Gray Krauss since early 2008, concentrating in film and television financing. Compas joined Gray Krauss as an associate in April 2008.
