Andreas Rothbauer, Head of Theatrical Sales & International Acquisitions at Beta Cinema, is to leave after 12 years in the post.

He joined Beta Cinema in 2000 and was an integral part in the start-up of the theatrical sales department, selling Academy Award-nominated and winning films such as Downfall, The Counterfeiters, The Lives Of Others and, most recently, In Darkness, amongst others for the company.

In addition to sales, Rothbauer was also in charge of acquisitions for such international feature films as the Academy Award-nominated Mongol and Il Divo.

Speaking of his decision to leave Beta Cinema, Rothbauer said that “the time has come to look out for new, professional endeavours after this long and rewarding period”.
