Warner Independent Pictureshas named Michael Andreen as executive vice president of production andpublicity veteran Laura Kim as executive vice president of marketing andpublicity.

Andreen's appointment iseffective immediately. He most recently served as senior vice president ofproduction at 20th Century Fox and returns to Warner Bros Pictures, where hepreviously served as vice president of production from 1995 to 1999.

He will report directly toWarner Independent president Mark Gill and oversee development and productionof Warner Independent's slate.

Kim will arrive at thespecialty division on Oct 6 from mPRm Public Relations, where she served assenior vice president and oversaw the company's film practice.

Also reporting directly toGill, Kim will be responsible for the marketing and publicity of theatricalreleases and will also play "a vital role" in acquisitions at major festivals.

On the subject of Andreen,Gill said: "Michael is one of the smartest, most eloquent and best-read peoplein Hollywood.

"Those talents, combinedwith blue-chip development and production experience he brings from Warner BrosPictures and, most recently, Fox, make him an ideal choice to head ourproduction team."

"I know Michael well fromhis last time here and am happy to welcome him back," Jeff Robinov, presidentof production at Warner Bros Pictures said in a statement.

"He's got great taste, greatrelationships, and is an outstanding executive. He'll be a great addition toWarner Independent Pictures."

While at Fox, Andreen wasresponsible for overseeing the production on such upcoming films as PeterWeir's Master And Commander: The Far Side Of The World, Ridley Scott's Tripoli and Roland Emmerich's The Day After Tomorrow.

Prior to working at Fox heserved as a producer at New Line Cinema and, before the earlier stint at WarnerBros, he was president of DiNovi Productions from 1992 to 1999.

As for Kim, Gill said: "It'snot an accident that Laura is working on at least half of all the good independentfilms released this year."

"She's brilliant,imaginative, notoriously hard-working and beloved throughout the independentfilm world."

While at mPRm, where she hasbeen since 1992, Kim was involved in an array of acclaimed titles including Muriel'sWedding, Shine, Happiness and Mulholland Drive.

Her corporate clients haveincluded Sundance Institute, Good Machine and the Independent Spirit Awards.

Prior to mPRm, Kim worked atBuena Vista Pictures Marketing.She began her career in entertainment as a Warner Bros college rep inBoston.
