Anger Management scored a couple of record openings for stars AdamSandler and Jack Nicholson as the comedy grossed $8.4m on 3,000 internationalscreens over the weekend, raising its total to $29.1m.

Opening in 18 territoriesthe highlights included a number two bow in the UK behind The MatrixReloaded, where Anger Management took $2.8m in 529 sites for the biggest opening forboth stars in the territory.

Columbia TriStar FilmDistributors International (CTFDI) also rolled out the comedy in Spain, whereit grossed $1.6m from 414 prints for second place behind The Matrix Reloaded.

The Spanish bow alsoproduced a record opening for Sandler and Nicholson and was roughly on a parwith previous bows for Two Weeks Notice and Johnny English.

In Mexico the film wasranking number one by Saturday and grossed $1.1m over the three days from 337screens.

The opening was roughly 9%bigger than Meet The Parents and25% bigger than Bringing Down The House.

In Korea it took $720,000from 104 screens, while South Africa grossed $180,000 from 72 for a number onefinish.

Anger Management is due to open in Italy and Russia on June 13.
