Jennifer Aniston has joined Vince Vaughn inUniversal's comedy The Break-Up,which is set to begin production in early June and is scheduled for release onFeb 17 2006.

Jay Lavender and Jeremy Garelick are writing the screenplay, which is based onan original idea by Vaughn, who brought the project to the studio and willserve as producer.

Peyton Reed, whose credits include Down With Love and Bring It On, is attached to direct.

Scott Stuber, Universal's vice chairman of worldwide production, will overseethe project for the studio with vice president of production Scott Bernstein.Details of the story were undisclosed at time of writing.
