2 Fast 2 Furious shook The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen off the top slot this weekend. The Sean Connery-led ensemble drama dropped 44% after just one week.

Spanish adventure comedy 800 Bullets by Alex de la Iglesia came in at number 10. Two local films remain among the top ten, Cleopatra and Valentin. The latter may see a spike in admissions after the recent announcement of its selection as Argentina's official entry to the Foreign Oscars next year.

Next week, Universal's drag race drama will have to contend with Robert Rodriguez' Once Upon A Time In Mexico, a hit in the U.S. and elsewhere. Other films opening include James Foley's Confidence, Fernando Leon de Aranoa's Los Lunes Al Sol (Spain), Luis Sepulveda's Nowhere (a co-production with Italy and Spain) and Argentinian director Mario Sabato's return to filmmaking after a seven-year hiatus, India Pravile.
