Lions Gate Films has picked up North American distribution rightsto Armada Pictures and D H Blair Pictures' teen horror project Drive Thru, which is due to begin principalphotography in January.

Armada Pictures International will begin international sales at AFMthis week on the project, which is being directed and is written by Shane Kuhnand Brendan Cowles.

Martin Wiley, Chris Sievernich, and Matt Milich are producing withProspect Pictures' Matt Weaver. DH Blair Pictures' Michael Almog and Morton Davis are serving as executiveproducers.

The story centres on the investigation into a group of missingteenagers from a sleepy beachside community that leads to a local fast foodchain, HellaBurger.

D H Blair Pictures' director of development Vanessa Guest willoversee the project for the company.

"Drive Thru is just our extremely elaborate and twisted way of telling theworld "fast food kills..." and so do seven-foot homicidal burger clowns with ataste for teenage flesh," Kuhn and Cowles said in a joint statement.

ArmadaInternational's sales slate includes the supernatural thriller Dark Places starring Leelee Sobieski and thethriller Played, aswell as Drum, One Point 0 and Tamara.
