Lauren Thierry's documentary Autism Every Day has joined the Sundance Film festival line-up as a special screening.

The world premiere will screen out of competition on Jan 21 and will be followed by an autism awareness panel featuring the filmmakers and parents who appear with their children in the documentary.

Autism Every Day charts the round-the-clock challenges faced by families affected by autism. Thierry produced with Eric Solomon of Milestone Video, and Autism Speaks co-founders Bob and Suzanne Wright served as executive producers.

'We are honoured to have Autism Every Day selected for special recognition in this year's Sundance Film Festival, reflecting the Sundance Institute's on-going tradition of screening films that reflect the most important issues facing our society,' Bob and Suzanne Wright said.

'This film provides a vivid window into the unique challenges - the hopes and frustrations - of the hundreds of thousands of individuals and families like ours affected by autism in this country.'
