Harry Potter AndThe Prisoner Of Azkaban crossed $500m at the international box office at theweekend, becoming the 10th picture to reach the milestone and Warner Bros'third biggest picture of all time behind the two previous Potter instalments.

Azkaban grossedan estimated $5.6m with 602,000 admissions on more than 2,000 screens in 47territories for an estimated $505.4m international running total. The familypicture has amassed more than $750m worldwide.

Japan climbed 44%as the Obon holidays kicked in, adding $3.7m on 561 as Azkaban returned to thenumber one spot and elevated the total there to a staggering $104.1m.

Catwoman grossed$4m on 1,507 screens in 15 territories including those handled by VillageRoadshow for a $9.2m cumulative total.

The highlightswere Mexico, where the comic book adaptation opened top on $1m on 463 screens,and $215,000 on 65 for first place in South Africa.

Indonesiaproduced first place and $132,400 on 65, rising to $202,000 including previews,while $234,803 on 32 in Singapore was enough for first place there.

The pictureopened in Brazil on $441,000 on 210 for second place behind Fox International'sI, Robot.
