A string of number oneopenings including a mighty $5.9m estimated bow in Germany secured Bad Boys2 as the number internationalperformer of the weekend, according to Columbia TriStar Film DistributorsInternational (CTFDI).
The action sequel grossed$15.3m from 3,625 screens in 59 territories to raise its running total to$63.3m. The film looks good to finish around $95m.
It grossed $800,000 inHolland, $815,000 and 50% market share in Austria, $700,000 in Switzerland,$630,000 in Belgium and $500,000 in Denmark.
Next weekend'sopenings include France, Italy and Russia, with Japan to follow at the end ofNovember.
Columbia's police thriller S.W.A.T. had no major openings but added $2.1m for acumulative score of just under $20m from mostly Asian bows.
It rolls out in Mexico nextweekend, followed by Europe in late November and early December.
