In a bid tokickstart movie production in the Merseyside region of England, BasicInstinct II starDavid Morrissey's Tubedale Films is to partner with England's North WestVision. North West will invest £145,000 over the next year on a slatepartnership with Tubedale.

The deal,it is claimed, is the first of its kind from a UK Screen Agency and will seeTubedale setting up several new projects in the Merseyside region.

Tubedale is run by David Morrissey, his brother,businessman Paul Morrissey, and producer Carl Clifton, who was formerly alongterm PolyGram Filmed Entertainment employee.

The company's credits include Patrice Leconte's L'HommeDu Train and the forthcoming New York-setEnglish language remake of Leconte's 1989 feature, Monsieur Hire.
