In spite of an overall quiet AFM, Bavaria Film International (BFI) completed sales on the Jury Grand Prix/Silver Berlin Bear winner Grill Point (Halbe Treppe) and newcomer Robert Schwentke's thriller Tattoo.

Only three weeks after the premiere of Andreas Dresen's film in the Berlinale official competition, BFI has already sold Grill Point to six territories - with Russia (Maywin Media) and Brazil (Estacao Cinema e Cultura) the latest territories to be taken.

BFI head of sales Thorsten Schaumann reported that Schwentke's hard hitting thriller, which had its international market premiere at the AFM, was sold to Hong Kong (Intercontinental) and Korea (Bear Entertainment) with other deals with Asian distributors imminent.

In addition, the German sales outfit racked up another couple of sales on the Uruguayan filmmaker Beatriz Flores Silva's Tricky Life (En La Puta Vida) for Russia (Maywin Media) and Puerto Rico (Wiesner Distribution).
