Robert Carlyle, Bjork, Mike Figgis and Alex Cox are join Jonathan Ross as the judges for the first BBC FOUR World Cinema Award - a new prize dedicated to foreign-language film.

UK television channel BBC FOUR focuses primarily on arts programmes, dramas and documentaries, and also boasts a major foreign language film strand.

The shortlisted films for the prize are Belleville Rendez-Vous, City Of God, Etre Et Avoir, Good Bye Lenin!, Spirited Away and The Man Without a Past.

There will also be an Audience Award voted for by viewers at home.

Roly Keating, controller of BBC FOUR, said: "We're proud to have secured such eminent figures as judges for BBC FOUR's first ever World Cinema Award.

The BBC FOUR World Cinema Award will be shown on Saturday 24 January at 9.00pm.
