Summit International has virtually sold out on two of its marquee titles here, Jodie Foster’s drama The Beaver starring Mel Gibson and the DC Comics adaptation Red.

Foster is currently shooting The Beaver in New York and principal photography is scheduled to end on November 28. Summit Entertainment will distribute in the US.

Icon has taken UK and Australian rights, SND France,Telemunchen-Concorde Germany, Medusa has taken Italy, Aurum Spain, Nordisk Scandinavia, and Belga Benelux.

Gibson plays a depressed man who starts to wear a beaver puppet on his hand as a form of therapy, much to the initial bemusement of his family. Foster plays his wife and Anton Yelchin also stars.

Red stars Bruce Willis as a retired agent whose dull life is shattered when three hitmen show up at his house. Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren also star and Summit has set a November 19, 2010 US release.

Rights have gone to E1 in the UK, Telemunchen-Concorde in Germany, SND in France, Aurum in Spain, and RCV in Benelux.
