German producer Gloria Burkert (A Map Of The Heart) and Rajendra Roy, programme director of the Hamptons International Film Festival, and Berlin-based freelance journalist Ralf Schenk are three new members of this year's advisory film selection committee for the Berlinale's Official Competition.

The twelve-person committee includes the various section heads - Wieland Speck (Panorama), Christoph Terhechte (International Forum), Alfred Holighaus (Perspektive Deutsches Kino, Beki Probst (European Film Market) and, for the first time, Thomas Hailer (Kinderfimfest) - as well Hamburg-based exhibitor Matthias Elward, Holland Film's chief executive Claudia Landsberger, film journaist Anke Leweke, and film historian Rainer Rother.

They attend the Competition selection screenings in Berlin and give recommendations to festival director Dieter Kosslick.
