Sergei Bespalov’s Sunrise Entertainment has licensed all Russian rights to Art Pictures Media for its Kevin Spacey comedy Father Of Invention.
Art Pictures has tentatively set a February 2011 release date for the film that also stars Heather Graham, Camilla Belle, Virginia Madsen and Johnny Knoxville.
In a reciprocal deal, Sunrise has secured international sales rights excluding the US to Art Picture Media’s adventure sci-fi Prisoners Of Power.
The feature film picks up where Russian box office smash Inhabited Island left off.
Sunrise is screening both films during the market.
“We are thrilled with the response to our new company and initial slate of feature films,” Sunrise head of sales and distribution Stefania Vitali said. “The deal we finalised with Art Pictures Media reflects our commitment to align Sunrise Entertainment with top foreign partners as well as to acquiring high quality product to augment our distribution slate.”
