Arianna Bocco has joined IFC Entertainment as vice president of acquisitionsand production as the company expands its game-plan to accommodate largercommercial releases.

Bocco will identify and chase completed features with rightsavailable and will bring new projects into the company. She will also take the leadin filling IFC First Take's 24-picture annual quota of day-and-date releases ofsmaller titles.

Bocco arrives from the Gersh Agency, where she served as head ofthe independent feature packaging division.

Prior to that she worked as senior vice president of acquisitionsat Miramax, where she was involved in buying Garden State and The Station Agent, among others.

Before Miramax Bocco served at New Line Cinema and Fine LineFeatures and also worked at The Steve Tisch Company.

"Arianna is an excellent assessor of quality film with a veryimpressive background," said IFC Entertainment president Jonathan Sehring,to whom Bocco will report.

"She will be instrumental in continuing the company's successas we will look to her to spearhead the company's acquisitions and productioninitiatives going forward."
