Marc Brandon has been promoted to vice president of anti-piracy internetoperations at Warner Bros Entertainment.

In his new post Brandon will be responsible for coordinating the studio'sonline anti-piracy efforts with a team of local internet anti-piracyspecialists in eight countries.

He will work closely with law enforcement agencies, the MotionPicture Association of America, and global cross-industry agencies. Based in Burbank,he reports to David Kaplan, the company's vice president and intellectualproperty counsel.

Brandon joined Warner Bros in 2000 as an anti-piracy internet specialistand became director of internet operations before joining the worldwideanti-piracy operations group in 2004.

Prior to that heworked for the Times Mirror Company focusing on trademark prosecution andinternet enforcement efforts for The Los Angeles Times and other operatingdivisions.
