Step Up 2: The Streets lead Briana Evigan has signed to star in the thriller Burning Bright from Mark Amin's Sobini Films, which has a first-look deal with Lionsgate.

Carlos Brooks, whose drama Quid Pro Quo starring Nick Stahl and Vera Farmiga opens this week through Magnolia Pictures, will direct and principal photography is set to begin on July 14 in Florida.

Sobini's fledgling international sales division headed by Todd Olsson commenced pre-sales in Cannes on the story of a 20 year-old-girl and her autistic brother who find themselves in the unenviable position of being trapped in a house with a tiger during a hurricane.

Amin is producing with Launchpad Productions' David Higgins, who created the story and previously produced Hard Candy. Sobini Films' Cami Winikoff will also produce. Christine Coyle Johnson and Julie Prendiville Roux wrote the screenplay.

Evigan is represented by the Gersh Agency, Luber Roklin Entertainment and Attorney Dave Feldman. Brooks is represented by Jordan Bayer at Original Artists and managed by Marti Blumenthal of 59 Management.

Bayer and Mark Stankevich of Stankevich/Gochman handled Books' deal.
