UIP executivesare enjoying a purple patch at the international box office and will look toUniversal's Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason to continue its dominance when it opensin Spain and Sweden on Nov 19.

A strongperformance is on the cards given that Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason was the number one international titlelast weekend and as of Nov 14 had grossed $26.6m.

And Spanishaudiences clearly have a taste for the hapless Bridget, given that BridgetJones's Diary opened topin Spain on $1.3m in June 2001, playing on 240 screens.

Columbia TriStarFilm Distributors International (CTFDI) has planned a major weekend for thedarkly comic Bad Santa, with openings in France on Nov 17 on 230 prints,Germany on Nov 18 on 150, Italy on Nov 19 on 120, and Mexico the same day on90.

The picture hasgrossed $2.5m so far from several markets including the UK.

Columbia'scomedy White Chicksopened in South Korea on Nov 17 on 82 and has grossed $35.6m through alldistributors to date.

FoxInternational opens Alien Vs Predator in Spain in Nov 19 on 400 prints and in Italy the same dayon 301. The action horror picturehas grossed $61m to date.

Fox's comedy Taxi goes out in the UK on Nov 19 on 265 andhas a $4.5m international running total.

Thedistributor's sci-fi thriller I, Robot still lingers below $200m and executives expect it to passthe benchmark when it goes out in China on Nov 26. I, Robot has grossed $198.7m.

Warner BrosPictures International opens the animated feature The Polar Express in Australia and New Zealand on Nov 18,while horror prequel Exorcist: The Beginning went out in France on Nov 17, Germany onNov 18 and South Korea on Nov 19.

Exorcist: TheBeginning has amassed$18.7m through Warner Bros territories, while the wartime epic A Very LongEngagement has grossed$28.2m from France, Belgium and French-speaking Switzerland to date, and Catwoman is on $40.6m.

Paramount's TheManchurian Candidateopens through UIP in the UK on Nov 19, sci-fi Sky Captain And The World OfTomorrow opened inGermany on Nov 18, and comedy Without A Paddle opened in Australia on Nov 18 and goesout in Mexico a day later.

As of Nov 14 TheManchurian Candidate hadan $11.9m international cumulative total, Sky Captain was on $9.9m, and Without A Paddle was on $1.1m.

DreamWorks/Universal'scomedy Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy went out in Russia through UIP on Nov 18and as of Nov 14 had grossed just over $5m.

Focus Features' martial artspicture House Of Flying Daggersopened in France through UIP on Nov 17.

New LineInternational's thriller Cellular opened in France through Metropolitan on Nov 17 on 300 prints andhas taken just over $6m from its markets to date.

New Line's crimecaper After The Sunsetopens in the UK through Entertainment on Nov 19 on 316 in the early stages ofits international run.

Buena VistaInternational opens Pixar hit The Incredibles in a handful of smaller Asian marketsthis weekend, where records seem assured given the picture's storming run lastweekend. The Incredibles has grossed $6m to date.

The Princess Diaries 2 goes out in Mexico on Nov 19 and has a $23.5minternational running total.
