Bacon and barbie dolls to promote the new film Altern-i-life.

It’s not every day someone hand delivers a note to our office reading ‘Dear ScreenDaily, I hope you rot in hell.’ (Usually our fan mail is much darker). So it certainly got our attention yesterday when the team behind Altern-i-life dropped by some special treats for us, including some vacuum packed raw bacon from a character called ‘The Butcher’ and some other packs of old cigarettes and chopped up Barbies from other characters. Well, it’s certainly something different than a cuddly toy.
The film is described as a ‘choose your own adventure musical film’ and it has a Kickstarter campaign to raise £16,000. The plot is described as this: “Set during the dawn of the Internet, the film explores the inhabitants of a grey and remote English town and the parallel lives they develop in a vibrant online realm.”
Let’s hope it’s good or this has been a waste of decent bacon.
