Ang Lee'sVenice Golden Lion winner Brokeback Mountain will contest IFP's best featureGotham Awards in New York on Nov 30 with Bennett Miller's Capote, David Cronenberg's A History OfViolence, LodgeKerrigan's Keane,and Miranda July's Me And You And Everyone We Know.

Miller and July are is two of five nominees in the breakthrough directorcategory, along with Phil Morrison for Junebug, Andrew Wagner for The TalentGiven Us, and AliceWu for Saving Face.

Breakthrough Actor nominees are Amy Adams in Junebug, Camilla Belle in The Ballad OfJack And Rose,Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Mysterious Skin, Terrence Howard in Hustle & Flow, and Damian Lewis in Keane.

The best documentary category includes Dayna Goldfine and Dan Geller's BalletsRusses, AlexGibney's Enron: The Smartest Guys In The Room, by Werner Herzog's Grizzly Man, Henry-Alex Rubin and Dana AdamShapiro's Murderball, and Michael Almereyda's William Eggleston In The Real World.

Best ensemble cast category nominees are the casts of Brokeback Mountain, Crash, Good Night, And Good Luck, Nine Lives, and The Squid And The Whale.

"2005 was a particularly good year for films made with creative conviction anda strong point of view," IFP executive director Michelle Bryd said. "That'swhat the IFP seeks to celebrate through the Gotham Awards.

"We are especially pleased to have visionary directors working at their peakamong our nominees, as well as directors whose work has yet to receivewidespread public recognition on our own shores, not to mention severalbreakthrough actors and directors bursting onto the scene with high hopes aboutfuture projects."

As previously announced, Matt Dillon will be the subject of this year's GothamAwards Feature Tribute.
