Broken Lizard Industries andGerber Pictures will produce comedy The Babymaker for Warner Bros.
Broken Lizard's Jay Chandrasekhar, whose credits include The Dukes Of Hazzard is set to direct and colleague KevinHeffernan will star under the company's first-look deal with the studio.
Written by Ice Age: The Meltdownco-screenwriters Peter Gaulke and Gerry Swallow, The Babymaker tells the story of a desperate aspiring father whosefriends attempt to help by stealing a deposit he made years earlier at a spermbank.
Broken Lizard's credits include Super Troopers and the upcoming Beerfest, which was directed by Chandrasekhar and stars Heffernan and is set for an Aug 25 release through Warner Bros.
Broken Lizard is currently writing Nutcracker for the studio, and is producing Pony Bush for Dimension Films.
The deal for The Babymaker wasnegotiated for Broken Lizard by UTA and 3 Arts with CAA and Management 360representing Gaulke and Swallow.
