In recent years the veteran has developed expertise in social media marketing. She begins in her new role as evp of publicity on Tuesday (Aug 30)

Ward will oversee all aspects of the studio’s domestic publicity campaigns and reports to president of domestic theatrical marketing and chief marketing officer Oren Aviv and president of domestic theatrical marketing and chief creative officer Tony Sella.

For years Ward ran her PR, marketing and communications outfit Bumble Ward & Associates and developed a client roster that included Paul Thomas Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Tim Burton, Tony Scott and Sofia Coppola.

In 2005 she closed the company to pursue writing and social media marketing. Prior to founding Bumble Ward & Associates, she was an executive at the boutique PR films Clein + White Public Relations and Marketing, DDA, Andrea Jaffe & Associates, and Clein + Feldman
