Buena Vista International's TheRecruit grossed $3m at theinternational box office over the weekend for a $6.5m international runningtotal.
Opening number one in Spain,the spy thriller grossed $1m on 229 screens. Opening in China, ittook $400,000 on 180 screens and was the top grossing US picture of theweekend. The Mexican bow yielded $870,000 from 265 screens.
In its second weekend inKorea, The Recruit fell 38% for$291,000, raising its nine-day total to $1.2m.
Lilo & Stitch added $1.9m in its third weekend in Japan, dropping 19%for an $11.6m running score in the territory. The animated feature has aninternational box office so far of $112m.
Chicago grossed $2m in BVI territories over the weekend, raisingits cumulative score from those markets to $47.5m.
The Hours added $1.5m over the weekend for a $14.5m runningtotal in BVI markets.
The Jungle Book 2 took $1.2m for a $32.5m running total.
