BVI'sPirates Of The Caribbeanenjoyed another dominant weekend in the international marketplace, where amighty Russian opening and strong holdovers accounted for a $20.5m weekendsession that raised the international running total to $106.2m.

The adventurefilm scored the third biggest industry opening ever in Russia, where it openednumber one on $3m from 171 screens.

In its secondweekend in France, Pirates slipped 30% but held on to top spot, adding $3.8m for a $10.9m totalto date.

The thirdweekend in the UK saw the film slip a mere 20% but stay in second on $3.3m foran excellent $22.6m running total.

In its secondweekend in Spain it fell 34% but stayed number one, adding $2.8m for $11m todate.

The fourthweekend in Japan saw a 31% drop-off as Pirates secured third place on $2.7m for a $34.4mcumulative total.

Pirates added $1.1m in its second weekend inHolland, where it stayed top and dropped only 11% for a $3.2m total, and$715,000 in its fourth weekend in Mexico, dropping 31% for second place and a$9.2m running total.

Finally, in itssecond weekend in Belgium, the film remained at number one on $706,000 for a$2.1m total to date.
