Veteran French-American producer Alain Siritzky is lining up a 3D version of Emmanuelle almost 35 years after he boarded the erotic franchise.

The film will be a prequel to the franchise in the vein of Pretty Woman and is geared towards a younger audience.

Siritzky told ScreenDaily: “Sex and love are two sides of the same coin. We have seen the sex, now we’re going to see the love.”

He is negotiating key partnerships for a reality TV show predicated on the talent search for the new Emmanuelle. Siritzky is planning to invite the finalists to Cannes next year, where the winner will be announced. The new Emmanuelle will earn a $1m (€725,536) contract to represent the brand for four years.

“Emmanuelle and I have grown together over the years and have accomplished so much, but now I am thrilled to say that was only the beginning,” said Siritzky, who owns all rights to the property based on the novel by the late Emmanuelle Arsan.
