The film will screen on May 22, out of competition.
Christophe Honore’s new film,Les Bien-aimés (The Beloved) which will screen on May 22 on the closing night of the 64th Cannes Film Festival after the jury presents its awards.
Honore was first in Cannes competition with Love Songs (Les Chansons D’amour). He is expected to walk the closing night red carpet with the new film’s many stars: Catherine Deneuve, Ludivine Sagnier, Chiara Mastroiani, Milos Forman, Louis Garrel, Michel Delpech and Paul Schneider.
The story is drawn from Prague of the ’60s, London of the ’80s, the world of September 11 and contemporary Paris.
The festival called Honore “one of the world’s most talented and original young filmmakers of his generation.”
The songs are all by Alex Beaupain, Honore’s longtime friend and composer of the music of all his films.
