Simon Crowe’s UK-based SC Films has snapped up sales rights to all-action film Bad Ass, starring Danny Trejo (Machete), and will be introducing the project to buyers in Cannes.

Bad Ass, which has been shooting in LA, has just wrapped principal photography.

Trejo stars as decorated Vietnam veteran Frank Vega, who returns home from war to find himself shunned by society. Forty years later, he becomes a local hero after protecting an elderly man.

Billed as a thriller in the vein of Death Wish and Gran Torino, Bad Ass is written and directed by Craig Moss and produced by Ash R. Shah. Appearing alongsidie Trejo are Charles Dutton and Ron Perlman.
