Sundance Selects announced out of Cannes it is acquiring rights to Abdellatif Kechiche’s competition entry Blue Is The Warmest Color from Wild Bunch.

Kechiche and Ghalya Lacroix wrote the screenplay to the Alcatraz Films, Quat’Sous Films and Wild Bunch production about a 15-year-old girl whose life is transformed by an exotic young woman.

Lea Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos star the film was produced by Alcatraz Films, Quat’Sous Films and Wild Bunch.

Sundance Selects’ sister label IFC Films previously released Kechiche’s The Secret Of The Grain.
