Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has signed a home video output deal with Svensk Filmindustri for the Nordic region.

Svensk will distribute SPHE rental DVD and Blu-ray titles in the region from October 1.

“The rental business is still a vigorous and important part of the home entertainment market in the Nordic region and we are proud to be SPHE’s appointed partner in this area. SPHE has shown impressive stability in their DVD & Blu-ray business and we are certain that our joint efforts will further strengthen their position in the Nordic region”, says Rasmus Ramstad, CEO of Svensk Filmindustri.
