Capital Entertainment hasacquired North American rights to Ira Sach's Sundance American Dramatic GrandJury Prize winner Forty Shades Of Blue, while the Sundance Channel has taken US pay TV rights.

Capital, a fledgling LosAngeles-based distributor, plans a New York release in September and SundanceChannel will broadcast in 2006 following the theatrical and DVD windows.

Both deals were negotiatedon behalf of the filmmakers by Josh Braun of Submarine Entertainment and RogerE Kass of RingTheJing Entertainment, and by Capital senior vice president ofbusiness affairs and operations Richard Shore, and president Richard Williams.

Christian Vesper, vicepresident of acquisitions, programme planning and scheduling, negotiated forSundance Channel.

Forty Shades Of Blue centres on the lives of three people, a Russianwoman, a legendary music producer, and his estranged son. Dina Korzun, Rip Tornand Darren Burrows star. Celluloid Dreams is handling international rights.
