Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI) launches its Oscarcontender Capote inits first major markets this weekend.

The picture, which is nominated for five Academy Awards includingbest picture, director and actor, opens in Australia on Feb 23, followed a daylater in the UK, Spain and Brazil.

Fun With Dick And Jane, currently on more than $70.6m, launches in France andFrench-speaking Switzerland on Feb 22.

Elsewhere, SPRI holds majority rights to the horror picture Hostel and opens it in Australia on Feb 23followed by Italy on Feb 24.

Horror remake The Fog envelops UK theatres on Feb 24 and executives will be eager tobuild on the early $10m running total through SPRI markets.

Memoirs Of A Geisha has amassed $78.3m through all distributors, while TheProducers stands at$8.8m through SPRI markets.

Fox International's family sequel Cheaper By The Dozen 2 launches in Germany on Feb 23 on 150screens; it has grossed $42m so far.

The Pink Panther, currently on $6.2m, opens in a slew of markets including Spainon Feb 24 on 250 screens.

Date Movie,which has racked up an early $2.2m international running total, goes out in theUK on Feb 24 on 260 screens.

Oscar contender Walk The Line, which has grossed $32m, launches in Russia on Feb 23. BigMomma's House 2 hasamassed $37.1m to date.

Buena Vista International (BVI) opens the thriller Derailed in Australia on Feb 23, followed a daylater in Brazil and Germany. It's grossed $11m to date.

Casanovaopens in Mexico on Feb 24; its international total stands at $12m. Bambi 2, which stands on $16m, opens acrossScandinavia.

The Chronicles Of Narnia has grossed $377m so far and Chicken Little stands at $167m.
