France's MK2, Sweden's Folkets Bio and Spain's Grupo Filmax are among seven companies or individuals who have been nominated for Cartoon Movie Tributes in recognition of their contribution to the success of feature animation in Europe.

The full line-up of nominees are:

Didier Brunner (France), 'for producing the greatest number of auteur films over the last five years'
Grupo Filmax (Spain), 'for its strategy of production and distribution in Spain'
Folkets Bio (Sweden) 'for its strong regional distribution strategy'
Milimetros (Spain), 'for having channelled its animation skills into the origination and production of films'
MK2 (France), 'for its role both as an investor/distributor and as a cinema-owner showing European animated films'
RAI Cinema (Italy), 'for its financial involvement in animated feature films over the past years'
Robert Rea (France), 'for his role as a major European producer'.

The three Tribute winners will be chosen by animation industry professionals at this year's Cartoon Movie market, held at the Babelsberg Studios from March 13-15.
