Christian Gaines has joined IMDb's festival and networking community 0Withoutabox.com as film festival director.
Gaines previously served as director of festivals at the American Film Institute (AFI) where he oversaw festival and film programming projects including AFI FEST.
He was heavily involved with the inception of Silverdocs and AFI Dallas International Film Festival played an integral role in developing AFI FEST's strategic alliance with the American Film Market.
IMDb acquired Withoutabox in January. The service claims to connect more than 175,000 independent film-makers in more than 200 countries.
