The 47th SanFrancisco International Film Festival (SFIFF) will open on Apr 15 with JimJarmusch's series of comic vignettes Coffee And Cigarettes and closes on Apr 29 with Peter Howitt'sromantic comedy Laws Of Attraction.

Coffee AndCigarettes features suchluminaries as Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett, Iggy Pop and the British comedianSteve Coogan discussing an eclectic range of subjects from English tea to theuse of nicotine as an insecticide. United Artists will open the picture in theUS on May 14.

Laws OfAttraction stars PierceBrosnan and Julianne Moore as warring lawyers who fall for each other. ParkerPosey also stars. It is due to be released in the US through New Line on Apr30.

"Coffee AndCigarettes continues JimJarmusch's delightful investigation into the offbeat, featuring his familiarbrand of humour, a cast of internationally known actors and musicians andevocative black-and-white photography," Roxanne Messina Captor, executivedirector of the San Francisco Film Society which presents the festival, said ina statement.

"Laws OfAttraction, with itscharming lead performances, bucolic Irish setting and humorous depiction of theups and downs of love, makes for an ideal closing note for this year'sfestival."

The SFIFF runsfrom Apr 15-29.
