Constantin Film has secured the German-speaking rights toStep Up 3-D from Summit Entertainment after successfully releasing StepUp (over 620,000 admissions in Germany) and Step Up 2 The Streets (over900,000).
The dance sequel is again being produced by Summit with TouchstonePictures, anf Offspring Entertainment and will be directed by Step Up2's Jon Chu.
Apart from signing a deal with Focus Features International for Gus vanSant's Harvey Milk biopic Milk, Constantin also picked up the actionmovie Blood: The Last Vampire, directed by Chris Nahon (The Empire OfWolves), which is due to be delivered in early 2009.
Meanwhile, Swiss independent distributor Ascot Elite Entertainmentconcluded a deal with Luc Besson's Europacorp for Guy Ritchie'shigh-profile action title Revolver, starring Jason Statham and RayLiotta, which will be released in Germany this autumn.
