Craig Dehmel has been promoted to senior vice president of sales and strategic planning for Fox International.

Effective immediately, Dehmel will continue to manage the release planning and execution for all films from the Fox fold as well as acquisitions in more than 60 markets.

The executive joined in 2000 as a management trainee and prior to that served as marketing director at Ocean Park Pictures.

Lately he has played an important role in planning the release and dating strategies forIce Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs and X-Men Origins: Wolverine and upcoming releases of Avatar. Alvin And The Chipmunks 2,Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, and The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader.

“Craig has been instrumental in Fox International’s success for the past nine years,” Fox International co-presidents Paul Hanneman and Tomas Jegeus, to whom Dehmel continues to report, said.

“With his creative dating strategies and careful release planning, he has helped to maximise the value of our titles in an increasingly competitive international marketplace.”
