IntolerableCruelty grossed $10.8mthrough UIP from 2,457 sites in 24 countries at the weekend to raise itsinternational running total to $35.6m.

Chief highlightswere a strong $550,000 opening in Korea in 75 venues and number one holds insecond weeks in Australia, Italy and Spain.

The black comedyenjoyed 22% market share in Australia and added just over $1m, dropping 20% fora $3.2m cumulative score.

Italy dropped24% and raised its total to $5.9m, while Spain dropped only 4% and added $1.6mfrom 227 sites for $3.9m.

In Germany thefilm climbed 8% and grossed $2m from 347 for number two ranking and a $4.8mrunning total.

The UK added $1.7m for $6.1m, dropping 20% and rankingjoint third with Kill Bill Vol 1, while in their third weeks Brazil added$190,000 from 130 for $1.4m and Mexico grossed $320,000 from 214 for $1.9m.

IntolerableCruelty opened in SouthAfrica on $130,000 from 50 and still has 18 countries to go, including Franceon Nov 19.

American Pie:The Wedding added $3.8mfrom 38 countries at the weekend, raising its international cumulative score to$113m with 10 countries still to open.

Franceflourished in its second week, where school holidays helped to elevate thetotal to $8.3m.
