Willem Dafoe will head upthe jury panel at the Bermuda International Film Festival (BIFF) later thismonth alongside screenwriters Carlos Cuaron (Y Tu Mama Tambien) and Guillermo Arriaga (Amores Perros, 21 Grams).

Also joining Dafoe will befilm makers Patricia Flynn (Discovering Dominga) and Helen Lee (Sophie), as well as Shane Smith of the Canadian FilmCentre.

"We have a first-class jury- I could not be more pleased," BIFF director Aideen Ratteray Pryse said in astatement. "Willem leads a wonderful group of jurors who are charged with selectingthe top narrative feature, documentary feature and short film.

"Willem's body of work isinteresting and diverse. We are all looking forward to welcoming him and hisfellow jurors to Bermuda."

Dafoe, whose credits includePlatoon, Mississippi Burning, The English Patient and Spider-Man, currently stars in Paul McGuigan's drama The Reckoning, which will screen at the festival. The BIFF runsfrom Mar 19-25.
