LA-based entertainment lawyer David Miercort has been named senior vice president of business affairs for Myriad Pictures. He will head the business affairs department in Myriad's LA office and will be responsible for all in-house business, operational and legal matters covering all aspects of theatrical films.
He will report directly to Myriad president Kirk D'Amico; he will also negotiate all development and production deals, distribution agreements and financing agreements relating to film production and distribution.
Miercourt was previously at the LA law firm Weissmann, Wolff, Bergman, Silverman, Coleman & Hughes where he was the senior associate in the entertainment department for five years. Prior to that, he was an associate with Mitchell, Silberberg & Knupp.
