Veteran salesagent Chris Davis' new sales and financing outfit Chris Davis International(CDI) has unveiled the first titles to emerge from its financing and productionpartnership with Lars Sylvest's Mondrian, a Europe-based financing groupwith access to a network of European banks and equity funds.

Leading the packis Mule, a $17mactioner based in the Los Angeles and Amsterdam drug scene. Tony Ludwig andAlan Riche (The Family Man, Deep Blue Sea and Starsky And Hutch) will produce in association with In-Motion AG. Directorand cast will be unveiled at the market and production is scheduled for April.

Three titles dueto begin shooting in May are:

- Ten InchHero, a $4.5m romanticcomedy to be directed by David Mackay and produced by Mark Witsken. The picturewill shoot in Santa Cruz and pre-sales have already been concluded in a numberof territories.

- The $11mthriller Silence Becomes You starring Thora Birch, Juliette Lewis and Toby Stephens and to beshot in England and Germany. The picture is written and directed by StephanieSinclaire and will be produced by Brian Freeston, Karl Richards and Sinclaire.The acclaimed veteran British cinematographer Jack Cardiff will be behind thecamera. Silence Becomes You is being sold by CDI in association with Echelon Entertainment.

- The $8mpsychological thriller Silent Strings which will be directed by Kari Skogland, whose last projectwas Liberty Stands Still with Wesley Snipes and Linda Fiorentino. Deboragh Gabler andSylvest will produce.

In addition BlackSky, a $15m thriller,will be shot in the summer. Offers are currently being made to cast anddirector. Davis is currently finalising two other projects, which he plans tostart pre-selling at AFM.

Davis iswell-known as the former sales chief at Imperial Entertainment, FranchisePictures and FilmEngine.
