Fu ChanHsu's Holiday Dreaming took the main prize at the 7th annual DeauvilleFestival of Asian Film which wrapped on Sunday.

The Taiwanese film is a first effort from Fu-Chun Su andis a nostalgic look at youth. The film was also the recipient of the critics'prize.

The jury prize went to This Charming Girl fromSouth Korea's Lee Yoon-ki. Best screenplay went to The World fromChina's Jia Zhang-Ke who also directed the film.

In the action sidebar, Arahan, a third film fromSouth Korea's Ryoo Seung-Wan took the main prize.

China's ElectricShadows by Xiao Jiang won the audience award.

Thisyear's jury was presided over by French director Regis Wargnier.
