Former Warner Brothers executive Vince Di Pierro and marketing veteran Joe Cirillo have launched the revenue sharing online distributor Indie Road

The founders will canvas a panel of experts to select material that visitors to the site will be able to download or stream for prices starting at less than a dollar.

Indie Road will share 50% of net revenue from films with the film-makers as well as a portion of music and advertising sales revenues. The company will be a major sponsor of the Slamdance Film Festival in January 2009.

'In a business where it is very difficult for gifted film-makers to reach a public audience, the site will provide a channel for fresh new talent that deserves to be recognised by connecting them to fans, industry leaders, and film festivals around the world,' creative advisor Di Pierro said.
