Garrick Dion has been promoted to senior vice president of development at Bold Films while Jon Oakes is promoted to vice president of development at Gary Michael Walters and David Lancaster's Los Angeles-based company.

Rounding out the development team is creative executive Naia Cucukov. The promotions reflect the continued growth of the company's production slate.

Dion previously served as vice president of development and prior to joining Bold worked as a development executive for Joel Silver and Denise DiNovi. He also worked with James D Stern and Adam Del Deo on the documentaries The Year Of The Yao and So Goes The Nation.

Oakes served as director of development before his promotion and, before Bold, assisted the head of production at Phoenix Pictures on Zodiac and Pathfinder and worked on Prom Night for Original Films.

Both executives are currently overseeing Joe Dante's 3D supernatural thriller The Hole, shooting now in Vancouver with a cast that includes Chris Massoglia, Haley Bennett, Nathan Gamble and Teri Polo.

The company is also in pre-production on the thriller Jack, to be directed by Joseph Ruben.
