Universal is handling Headwinds in France while Cineart will be releasing the film in Benelux (on behalf of Movies Benelux).

Perrine Teze’s PTZ International has some top-level distributors already aboard Headwinds, the $5.3 million Audrey Tautou project that she is introducing to buyers at the EFM. Universal is handling France while Cineart will be releasing the film in Benelux (on behalf of Movies Benelux.)

Headwinds, directed by Jalil Lespert, is adapted from Olivier Adam’s best-selling book Des Vents Contraires. It tells the story of Paul. Ever since his wife Sarah disappeared without a trace, Paul has been living alone with his two young children. But a year has gone by, a year in which he has had to reinvent himself anew every day - and Paul is exhausted. The cast also includes Benoit magimel, Isabelle Carre and Bouli Lammers.

The producer is Wassim Beji (WY Production). The coproducers are Direct Cinéma and Artémis Productions.

Teze also reports strong interest in the project, likely to be ready for Cannes, from Germany and Italy
