EXCLUSIVE: Anchor Bay Films has picked up rights to Annapurna Pictures’ Sin City thriller Catch .44 starring Bruce Willis, Forest Whitaker and Malin Akerman.

Nikki Reed and Debra Ann Woll also star in the story of three women who get involved in a stand-off when they are dispatched by their enigmatic crime boss to intercept a drug deal. It soon becomes clear that not is all as it seems. The film is now in post.

Aaron Harvey wrote the screenplay and makes his directorial debut. Annapurna’s Megan Ellison produced with Michael Benaroya of Benaroya Pictures and Randall Emmett. Sierra/Affinity holds international rights.

Cassian Elwes brokered the deal with Bill Clark and Kevin Kasha Anchor Bay on behalf of the filmmakers.

The deal marks Anchor Bay’s third of the month, while Annapurna has ramped up and acquired rights to the Terminator franchise last week.
