Ann Sommerlath has joined the the IMAX Corporation as Vice President, Corporate Communications.

She will report directly to CEO Richard L Gelfond.

Sommerlath is a veteran of Edelman Public Relations, Fleishman-Hillard, RF Binder Partners, LSG Sky Chefs. She was also a financial journalist for 10 years at Dow Jones Newswires, BridgeNews and the Associated Press.

“Ann’s extensive experience as a financial journalist and as a senior executive on the agency side makes her an ideal candidate to guide the company through its expanding range of communications initiatives worldwide,” said Gelfond.
