Yarek Danielak’s Arsenal Pictures is Cannes-bound with a new slate led by the supernatural thriller The Presence from the co-creator of The Blair Witch Project.

Mira Sorvino, Justin Kirk and Shane Black star in the modern-day ghost story a woman who travels to an isolated cabin where she is stalked by an apparition that grows jealous when her boyfriend arrives.

As her behaviour becomes increasingly erratic the question becomes is she battling inner demons or is a greater force at work? The Blair Witch Project co-director Dan Dan Myrick served as executive producer.

The slate includes Memoirs Of A Teenage Amnesiac starring Emma Roberts and Anton Yelchin. Hans Canosa directed the romance based on the cult international beststeller about a young girl who tries to piece together her life after an injury leaves her with no memory.

Dyan’s Wake stars Amy Smart, Rose McGowan and Nick Stahl and centres on a man who fakes his funeral and tries to unravel a supernatural mystery that shattered his life a decade earlier. Omar Naim directed.

The slate includes the 2008 psychological thriller Older Than America with Bradley Cooper and Adam Beach about a woman whose visions force her to confront a sinister Catholic priest.

Danielak will also be talking up the horror story Tell Tale starring Josh Lucas and based on the story by Edgar Allan Poe, comedy horror 2001 Maniacs: Field Of Screams, and the romantic comedy How To Make Love To A Woman.

Arsenal has the action horror titles Red Canyon and The Bleeding, a well as thriller Order Of Chaos, and the family adventure Missy And The Maxinator.

“Our Cannes slate has something that will appeal to all buyers, from the chills of The Presence to an engaging drama starring Emma Roberts and Anton Yelchin to a thriller with rising star Bradley Cooper,” Danielak said. “We’re looking forward to what should be a busy market for Arsenal Pictures.”
