Fox International’s Black Swan will be vying to maintain its overseas dominance and build on that $100m-plus running total heading into Oscar weekend.

Star Natalie Portman is the favourite to win the Academy Award and her performance as a tormented ballerina has been a key factor in the $102.1m box office. Black Swan opens in eight territories including South Korea and Taiwan.

Big Momma: Like Father, Like Son stands at an early $5.4m and the comedy arrives in 15, among them Russia and Mexico.

127 Hours on $25.5m opens in eight including Italy, Mexico, Argentina and Holland. Gulliver’s Travels opens in France and stands at $158.5m while The Chronicles Of Narnia: Voyage Of The Dawn Treader ventures into Japan and has amassed $277.1m.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International (WDSMPI) releases DreamWorks’ action adventure I Am Number Four in the UK, Australia, Russia, South Korea and Singapore and reports an early $5.1m running total. The local acquisition Chico & Rita is in action in Spain.

Tangled stands at $333.4m and should push past the $350m mark this weekend. Tron: Legacy stands at $221m and Red is on $13.7m from Disney territories. Gnomeo & Juliet has grossed $6m. 

Warner Bros Pictures International’s Unknown starring Liam Neeson has amassed $7.4m and arrives in Italy, Brazil, Mexico, Spain and Japan. New Line’s The Rite on $13.7m enters the UK, France and Italy.

Drive Angry opens through WBPI in German-speaking Europe this weekend. Hereafter stands at $66m and Yogi Bear has amassed $83.5m.

Paramount’s True Grit opens has grossed $33.4m and opens through PPI in around 21 territories including France, French-speaking Switzerland, Germany, German-speaking Switzerland, South Korea, Singapore, Austria and Taiwan.

Justin Bieber: Never Say Never Again arrives in France and Brazil and Morning Glory on $17.8m and opens in Japan.

No Strings Attached has taken $24.9m and debuts in the UK, Mexico, Argentina and seven others. Little Fockers is on $160.3m.

Sony Pictures Releasing International opens the rom-com Just Go With It in around 10 including Germany, Spain, Sweden and Denmark and Austria. The comedy stands at $13.2m.

The CBS Films action thriller Faster has grossed $8.9m and opens in Mexico. The Social Network has amassed more than $125m.

Universal-Working Title’s comedy Paul enjoyed a stunning UK launch through UPI last weekend and already stands at $12.2m.
